About the Artisan
Marwan Hasan was born in Kastun, Syria but took refuge in Kafr Matta, Lebanon during the Syrian civil war. His family and him were sponsored to Ottawa, Canada in September 2016. His wife Sabria is an excellent cook and are often entertaining their Canadian friends. They are the parents to three boys: Khaled, Mohamad and Hasan who enjoy school and sports – mainly soccer and hockey.
Marwan was a gardener in Syria and Lebanon and has been able to continue his work as an employee at Amano Garden Care. Another skill he brings with him is casting stepping stones.
